Chief minister Harish Rawat claimed that Char Dham Yatra will begin on the scheduled day. He said government has been trying to make the roads leading to Char Dham safe. The yatra starts from May 4 with the opening of the portals of Badrinath.
"Our concern is to start yatra on the due date," said CM Rawat while interacting with the media persons here on Tuesday. He said government has been making attempts to strengthen communication network at Kedarnath. Rawat said if everything goes as per plan, three BSNL towers will come up at the revered shrine by April 25.
Rawat said it was essential to stop negative publicity on the Char Dham Yatra. The negative publicity about Char Dham pilgrimage has hampered the local economy, said CM.
